Scott: Todays my last working day so I have the Xmas playlist on! Mix of a few alternative covers and the usual cheesy crap
John: Second half of your playlist is right up my street Scott! Nice long Xmas break ahead then?
…
Scott: Had so much holidays accumulated when I started here so using them up now. I think I might have 2 random ‘be contactable’ days in between but, as has been said before, there’s no such thing as an Internal Audit emergency!
Dave: 😂
Matt: I’m going to put Scott down as the emergency contact for us this year and see if anyone notices.
Scott: 😂😂 With this being a global place, a few of my team are working on Xmas day (Asia & Turkey) - they have been well warned.
Matt: Funny Looking Angels by Smith and Burrows is the go-to Xmas album for me.
John: It’s on now. I didn’t realise they were an indie supergroup, thought they more like Robson and Jerome!
Scott: Editors and Razorlight, two absolute heavyweights!!
Matt: IMO it’s one of very few credible Xmas albums.
Scott: Beach Boys Xmas album for me.
Dave: Need to try this indie supergroup, not aware of this one.
Scott: When the Thames Froze is brilliant.
Matt: It is. I like the video for it as it was film along the route of part of my commute when we lived in London.
Matt: I’m going try today’s album with as an open mind as I can manage… but I remember hating this with a passion when it came out.
John: It has never gripped me as I thought it should. Will re-appraise but I approach this task with minimal enthusiasm.
Matt: Yeah, it’s still whiny, uninteresting %#€$. Back to the Xmas albums.
John: Oh dear, I think this is who Sam Fender wants to be.
Scott: Tricked myself into thinking I liked this as a teenager (during peak Radiohead phase). Haven’t listened to it since and it is all a bit woe is me.
Scott: Got an email announcing his big shows next year at Finsbury Park, £56 😳
Scott:
Could I be any happier with a book?
John: Data Analytics and the Fab Four - Christmas has come early!
Dave: That’s very cool, think I remember you sending the link over for that a while back, remember it being pretty fascinating.
Scott: It’s excellent, flicking through it wondering how I can apply the visuals to controls. 😂
Dave: Never been all the way through a Jeff Buckley album and won’t be again - very average.
Dave: Recommend Pixies live from rock and roll hall of fame 2005 , got it on now and has made Jeff Buckley a distant memory.
John: Oh yes, get it on now!
