Scott: I’ll be skipping over the obvious track on this, much too early!
Dave: Yeah also skipping that one, for the 2 weeks leading up to the big day it’s still the best Xmas song by a mile but I’m also happy to pack it away with the tree and the tinsel for another year.
Dave: Best joke I heard from the Halloween guisers last night : ‘you want to hear a joke’ … ‘gas prices!’ 😂
Scott: How was your end for guisers? We made up 70 bags and were decimated in less than an hour. Had to put the lights out 😂
Dave: They arrange an hour window in our estate which is good but we also ran out by the end of it - locusts 😂 E got a bag full though so she was delighted, will be carefully rationing them.
Scott: Some of our guisers didn’t even have jokes! You’d have been told to beat it back in my day!
Dave: Were a couple of kids not even dressed up and with no joke - youth of today…
John: We were decimated too - hundreds of ‘em! Had to shut up shop at 6:30 as we ran out of goodies by then.
Dave: This guy is an unbelievable guitar player, he did a Friday night live thing during lockdown 1 that I got really into. This is his new album, worth a go if you haven’t heard him before.
Scott: WIll check it out, I am quite enjoying this Pogues album!
Scott: I keep coming back to this Revolver remaster. I’m usually quite sceptical about remastered albums as I don’t think it ever adds much, but this is insanely good.
Scott: Tomorrow Never Knows sounds like the Chemical Brothers recorded it yesterday 😂
Dave: Really is, I’m the same, had it on all weekend.
Scott: Also been sticking this wee playlist on shuffle this past week. It really lifts the mood of those 4am feeds 🤪
Matt: Will give that playlist a go, Scott (although not at 4am!)
Matt: I didn’t really get much from today’s album - was really only listening to get to The-Greatest-Xmas-Song-In-The-World-EVARs! The rest was a bit ‘meh’.
John: I will have to listen to the remastered Revolver with my headphones on. I had it on the stereo on Sunday while doing the ironing and didn’t really appreciate the sonic improvements
